Caliing a webservice from a trigger

Please,
is there a way i can execute a webservice from within a SQL Server 2k
Trigger? Sending and receiving XML values?

This is not directly supported or recommended.
You probably could write your own custom code using an extended stored proc
or using sp_OA stored procs.
